Whether you’re still in school or graduating soon, you have many employment options at VCU Health. You can gain practical skills and explore various clinical settings, which can help you shape your career path after graduation. We welcome new graduates in many career areas, including the Operating Room. Our OR Internship is open to new grad RNs and experienced RNs interested in getting into OR.

Your education continues

At VCU Health, our commitment to continuing education is more than a benefit to working here. It’s a way of life.

We offer tuition assistance for both team members and dependents. Team members can take up to $10,000 of education assistance for bachelor’s degrees and $15,000 for graduate degrees each fiscal year. Dependents can take up to 12 credit hours per year at VCU.

We also provide instructor-led learning opportunities, online learning through The Learning Exchange, financial literacy workshops and our Training and Development team offers over 250 high-quality educational programs.

There isn’t a separate application for the Nurse Residency Program. Simply find a position you’re interested in by following these steps.

Step 1: Visit www.vcuhealth.org/careers
Step 2: Search current Registered Nurse job openings in our online  job portal
Step 3: Create a user account within the online job portal
Step 4: Apply for a Registered Nurse position

Once you have been selected to interview and have accepted a Registered Nurse position, your enrollment in the Nurse Residency Program is confirmed during your first week at VCU Health.
